Donations to Neilston Community
On Thursday 13th Dec 2018, the Lodge welcomed representitives from a total of eight youth and community groups from within the Neilston area. Each were given an early Christmas present from Lodge Thistle & Crown No.1167.
As the Lodge celebrated its 100th Anniversary in 2018 it was decided to mark the occasion by donating £100 each to local groups.
These were:
Madras Family Centre,
Neilston Primary School,
1st Neilston Girls Brigade,
Neilston Guides,
St Thomas Primary School,
1st Neilston Boys Brigade,
Neilston Scouts
Neilston War Memorial Association.
Cheques were presented by RWM Bro Fred Christie, Master for the year 2018-19.
RWM Bro. Fred said: “As the local Masonic lodge we have been part of the Neilston community for the past hundred years and we decided the most appropriate way to end our year of Centenary Celebrations was by making these donations to groups within our immediate community".
